Short Bio

Dr. Seyed Amir Ahmad Safavi-Naini is an MD-MBA-MME graduate and physician-scientist specializing in the intersection of artificial intelligence and digestive health. With over five years of combined academic and industry research experience, he has led projects on early pancreatic cancer detection, 3D modeling of perianal fistulae, and the integration of large language models into clinical practice. He was a research fellow at the Division of Data-Driven and Digital Medicine (D3M) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he focused on benchmarking and enhancing the explainability of LLMs in gastroenterology. He is also the co-founder of Phili.ai, a startup building AI-powered solutions to optimize information flow in clinical environments.
